Abstract

Bayi Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) rentan mengalami hipotermia dikarenakan lemak subkutannya sangat tipis sehingga mudah dipengaruhi oleh suhu lingkungan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menjaga stabilitas suhu pada Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah adalah dengan mengaplikasikan Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC). Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) terhadap suhu tubuh Bayi Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) di Ruang NICU RSD Mangusada Badung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre experimental dengan desain one-group pre-post tes design. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu 32 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata suhu tubuh bayi sebelum diberikan KMC adalah 36,25oC dan 36,67oC setelah diberikan KMC. Analisis bivariat yang digunakan adalah uji wilcoxon signed rang test, pada tingkat kemaknaan α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai pvalue 0,000 < α (0,05) dengan demikian H1 diterima dan Ho ditolak yang artinya terdapat pengaruh metode Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) terhadap suhu tubuh Bayi Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) di Ruang NICU RSD Mangusada Badung. Tenaga kesehatan khususnya bidan diharapkan dapat memberikan edukasi tentang metode Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) khususnya pada orang tua dengan bayi BBLR untuk menjaga kestabilan suhu tubuh bayi karena bayi BBLR memiliki risiko tinggi mengalami hipotermi.
