Abstract

Lanjut usia merupakan seseorang yang mencapai usia mulai dari 60 (enam puluh) tahun ke atas. Risiko hipertensi meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan usia seseorang, maka dari itu dibutuhkan penatalaksanaan hipertensi yang tepat. Teknik rileksasi handheld finger menjadi salah satu terapi nonfarmakologi yang dapat dipilih untuk kalangan lansia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi handheld finger terhadap tekanan darah pada lansia hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mengwi I. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest design dengan jumlah sampel 45 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Instrument yang digunakan adalah Standar operasional prosedur pelaksanaan terapi rileksasi handheld finger dan lembar observasi tekanan darah yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji univariat dan bivariat. Uji statistik yang digunakan yaitu Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test (p value <,= 0,05). Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai p value 0,000 < 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh terapi handheld finger terhadap tekanan darah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disarankan agar kedepannya pihak pelayanan kesehatan mampu menerapkan terapi handheld finger dalam usaha menurunkan tekanan darah pada kasus lansia hipertensi, sehingga mampu mencapai tekanan darah terkontrol.
