Abstract

Terdapat peningkatan jumlah pasien yang terdiagnosis hipertensi mulai dari tahun 2018 hingga 2020 di RSU X Nusa Dua, dan banyak gaya hidup yang berhubungan dengan kondisi hipertensi seperti konsumsi makanan asin, kurangnya aktifitas fisik, kebiasaan merokok, serta tingkat stres individu. Namun belum terdapat penelitian yang membahas gaya hidup pasien hipertensi di rumah sakit ini, sehingga tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui gaya hidup pasien hipertensi di RSU X Nusa Dua. Studi yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Terdapat enam orang informan yaitu lima orang pasien hipertensi dan satu orang perawat. Terdapat dua tema yaitu gaya hidup yang dapat memperbaiki kondisi hipertensi seperti rutinitas kontrol ke dokter, mengonsumsi obat secara teratur, aktivitas fisik yang cukup dan kemampuan untuk mengelola stres, serta gaya hidup yang dapat memperburuk kondisi hipertensi yaitu diet pola makan yang tidak baik. Edukasi gaya hidup perlu ditingkatkan untuk mendukung proses perawatan dan pengobatan pasien hipertensi.
