Abstract

Penyakit tidak menular adalah penyakit kronis yang tidak ditularkan dari orang ke orang. Salah satu penyakitnya yaitu diabetes mellitus. Perubahan dalam hidup membuat penderita DM menunjukkan reaksi psikologis yang negatif, seperti kecemasan yang meningkat. Kecemasan ini dapat diatasi dengan teknik nonfarmakologi, salah satunya terapi akupresur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi akupresur terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan pada penderita diabetes mellitus di Klinik Pratama Karya Prima. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pre-post test dengan jumlah sampel 34 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Uji statistik yang digunakan yaitu wilcoxon rank test. Tingkat kecemasan sebelum terapi berada pada kategori kecemasan berat dengan persentase 88,2% dan setelah terapi berada pada kategori ringan dengan persentase 82,4%. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh p value 0,0001 < 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh terapi akupresur terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan pada penderita diabetes mellitus di Klinik Pratama Karya Prima. Perawat dapat memberikan terapi akupresur dalam upaya menangani tingkat kecemasan bagi penderita diabetes mellitus.
