Abstract

Demam merupakan salah satu Kejadian Ikutan Pasca Imunisasi (KIPI) yang sering terjadi setelah pemberian imunisasi Pentabio. Salah satu metode nonfarmakologis yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu menurunkan suhu tubuh bayi adalah kompres bawang merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kompres bawang merah terhadap penurunan suhu tubuh bayi pasca imunisasi Pentabio di UPTD Puskesmas Klungkung I. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain preexperimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 51 bayi yang mengalami demam pasca imunisasi Pentabio dan dipilih menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran suhu tubuh menggunakan termometer digital sebelum dan sesudah pemberian kompres bawang merah, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata suhu tubuh bayi pada sesi pertama menurun dari 38,16±0,26°C menjadi 38,05±0,18°C, sedangkan pada sesi kedua menurun dari 37,96±0,15°C menjadi 37,40±0,20°C. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai p-value <0,001 pada seluruh perbandingan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompres bawang merah efektif dalam menurunkan suhu tubuh bayi pasca imunisasi Pentabio. Kompres bawang merah dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif terapi nonfarmakologis untuk membantu penanganan demam pasca imunisasi
