SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU KEPERAWATAN BINA USADA BALI PROGRAM STUDI SARJANA KEPERAWATAN Skripsi, Januari 2021 Ni Kadek Oka Pratiwi Pengaruh Kompres Bangle Terhadap Penurunan Intensitas Nyeri Pada Penderita Arthritis Rheumatoid Di Banjar Dinas Dangin Pasar Rendang XC + 90 + 8 tabel + 3 gambar + 11 lampiran ABSTRAK Arthritis rheumatoid merupakan suatu penyakit autoimun yang menyebabkan inflamasi dan peradangan pada persendian terutama dibagian tangan dan kaki sehingga terjadi pembengkakan dan timbul rasa nyeri. Alat untuk mengukur intensitas nyeri adalah Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). Nyeri pada penderita arthritis rheumatoid jika tidak ditangani dapat menyebabkan kekakuan sendi, sulit berjalan dan dapat menganggu aktivitas sehari-hari. Ada banyak hal untuk menurunkan intensitas nyeri seperti pemberian obat analgesik, namun dalam jangka panjang mengkonsumsi obat analgetik dapat menimbulkan beberapa efek samping salah satunya erosi lambung. Salah satu cara lain untuk mengatasi nyeri adalah menggunakan terapi non farmakologi dengan pemberian kompres bangle. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompres bangle terhadap penurunan intensitas nyeri pada penderita arthritis rheumatoid. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre eksperimental dengan rancangan One-group Pre test - Post test Design dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 56 orang penderita arthritis rheumatoid yang mengalami nyeri, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling yaitu menggunakan purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilxocon Signed Rank Test untuk membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest. Terdapat perbedaan nyeri pada penderita arthritis rheumatoid sebelum dan sesudah diberikan kompres bangle dengan nilai Z hitung sebesar 6,702 dan nilai p = 0,000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan dalam penelitian ini bahwa ada pengaruh kompres bangle terhadap penurunan intensita nyeri pada penderita arthritis rheumatoid di Banjar Dinas Dangin Pasar Rendang tahun 2020. The measuring instrument for pain intensity is the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS). If left untreated, pain in people with rheumatoid arthritis can cause joint stiffness, hard to walk and can interfere with daily activities. There are many things to reduce pain intensity such as giving analgesic drugs, but in the long term taking analgesic drugs can cause several side effects, one of which is gastric erosion. One other way to deal with pain is to use non-pharmacological therapy by administering a bangle compress. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a bangle compress on reducing pain intensity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. This research was a pre-experimental study with One-group Pre-test-Post-test design with the number of sample were 56 people with rheumatoid arthritis who experience pain. The sample was taken using nonprobability sampling technique, namely using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Wilxocon Signed Rank Test to compare the results of the pretest and posttest. There was a difference in pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis before and after being implemented a bangle compress with a Z value of 6.702 and a value of p = 0.000 so that it can be concluded in this study that there is an effect of bangle compress on reducing pain intensity in arthritis rheumatoid patient at Banjar Dinas Dangin Pasar Rendang in 2020.
