Abstract

Pasien yang menjalani perawatan di Ruang Intensive Care Unit (ICU) memiliki kerentanan terhadap ketidakberdayaan, kelemahan dan ketergantungan terhadap alat bantu yang cenderung membuat pasien mengalami kondisi imobilisasi. Kondisi imobilisasi yang berlangsung lama dapat menimbulkan terjadinya risiko dekubitus. Pencegahan risiko dekubitus dapat dilakukan secara berkala dengan menjaga kelembapan kulit, salah satunya melalui penggunaan Virgin coconut oil (VCO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh pemberian virgin coconut oil terhadap risiko kejadian dekubitus di Ruang ICU RSD Mangusada. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre Experiment dengan one group pretest and posttest design melibatkan 27 sampel yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi braden score yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian virgin coconut oil terhadap risiko kejadian dekubitus di Ruang ICU RSD Mangusada (pvalue= 0,001). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan keperawatan melalui pemberian intervensi virgin coconut oil sebagai salah satu intervensi mandiri keperawatan untuk pencegahan terjadinya dekubitus.
