Abstract

HEALTH INSTITUTION OF BINA USADA BALI BACHELOR DEGREE OF NURSING PROGRAM Undergraduate Thesis, December 2023 Ni Wayan Diesa Anjas Asih The Effect of Passive ROM in the Legs on Bromage Score Values in Patients After Spinal Block Anesthesia in the Recovery Room at RSU X Ubung xv + 62 + 5 tables + 3 pictures + 11 appendixes ABSTRACT Delays in post-operative recovery with spinal anesthesia can be seen through the bromage score. Some patients showed problems with post-operative recovery which resulted in prolonged patient observation and indicated a prolonged effect of anesthesia. Several treatments can be given, one of which is passive ROM. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of passive leg ROM on the bromage score in patients after spinal anesthesia block. This research uses a pre-experimental method with a one group pre-posttest design. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling, namely consecutive sampling. The sample in the study amounted to 43 respondents. The analysis used was the Wilcoxon sign rank test. The results of the analysis show that most of the bromage score values before treatment are in category 3 and the bromage score values after treatment are in category 2. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that the p-value is 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of passive ROM in the feet on the bromage score values in patients. after spinal block anesthesia. Health workers are at the forefront of efforts to increase post-operative success and recovery so that mortality and morbidity rates due to surgery do not occur.
