Abstract

SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU KEPERAWATAN BINA USADA BALI PROGRAM STUDI SARJANA ILMU KEPERAWATAN Skripsi, Januari 2024 I Gede Dedik Agus Pratama Hubungan Health Locus Of Control Dengan Manajemen Diri Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di Ruang Interna Rumah Sakit Umum Bali Mandara (xiv + 71 halaman + 7 Tabel + 2 Gambar + 13 Lampiran) ABSTRAK Penderita Diabetes Melitus berpotensi memiliki harapan hidup yang lebih singkat akibat berbagai macam komplikasi yang di derita, hal tersebut dapat dicegah apabila melaksanakan perawatan secara rutin dan baik dikenal sebagai manajemen diri. Pelaksanaan manajemen diri dipengaruhi oleh faktor dalam diri individu, salah satunya yaitu keyakinan untuk mengendalikan kesehatannya yang disebut dengan health locus of control. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan health locus of control dengan manajemen diri pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe II. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis korelasi dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 53 sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik sampel purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner health locus of control dan kuesioner manajemen diri, analisis data terdiri dari analisis univariat dan bivariat. Penelitian ini menunjukkan health locus of control sebagian besar kategori tinggi sebanyak 22 responden (41,5%). Manajemen diri sebagian besar yaitu sebanyak 24 responden (45,3%) kategori tinggi. Hasil uji Rank Spearman didapatkan p value = 0,001(<0,05) menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara health locus of control dengan manajemen diri, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa health locus of control berhubungan signifikan dengan manajemen diri pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe II. The implementation of self-management is influenced by factors within the individual, one of which is the belief to control their health called health locus of control. This study aims to determine the relationship between health locus of control and self-management in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. This study used a correlation analysis method with a cross-sectional design. This study involved 53 samples selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection used health locus of control questionnaire and self-management questionnaire, data analysis consisted of univariate and bivariate analysis. This study shows that health locus of control is mostly in the high category as many as 22 respondents (41.5%). Self-management is mostly 24 respondents (45.3%) in the high category. The results of the Spearman Rank test obtained p value = 0.001 (<0.05) indicate that there is a significant relationship between health locus of control and self-management, it can be concluded that health locus of control is significantly related to self-management in type II diabetes mellitus patients. It is recommended that respondents be responsible and active in making efforts to maintain health by carrying out lifelong diabetes self-management.
