Abstract

Pasien yang mengalami penyakit dispepsia sering disertai dengan rasa nyeri. Penanganan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi nyeri pada pasien dispepsia dapat ditangani secara non farmakologi, salah satunya dengan pemberian slow deep breathing exercise. Teknik relaksasi ini akan memberikan ketenangan yang berefek pada penurunan intensitas nyeri. Adapun tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh slow deep breathing exercise terhadap intensitas nyeri pasien dispepsia di Instalasi Gawat Darurat RSUD Bali Mandara. Desain penelitian Quasi Experiment rancangan Non Equivalent Control Grup Design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok 15 orang kelompok intervensi dan 15 orang kelompok kontrol. Intrumen penelitian menggunakan skala Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling jenis consecutive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Hasil analisis didapatkan p=0,001, yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh slow deep breathing exercise terhadap intensitas nyeri pasien dispepsia di Instalasi Gawat Darurat RSUD Bali Mandara Denpasar. Disarankan kepada tempat pelayanan agar mengembangkan metode atau cara untuk mengurangi intensitas nyeri pada pasien dyspepsia dengan pemberian slow deep breathing exercise.
