Abstract

Neuropati diabetik merupakan komplikasi yang paling umum terjadi pada penderita diabetes sebagai akibat dari kerusakan saraf dan pembuluh darah. Pemeriksaan neuropati salah satunya dapat didahului dengan skrining penilaian tekanan darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan tekanan darah dengan skor neuropati pada pasien diabetes mellitus di Rumah Sakit Surya Husadha Nusa Dua. Studi kuantitatif dengan metode cross sectional melibatkan 30 responden diabetes mellitus yang dipilih dengan consecutive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengukuran tekanan darah menggunakan sphygmomanometer digital dan skor neuropati menggunakan Ipswitch Touch Test. Pengukuran neuropati dilakukan dengan melakukan sentuhan pada enam jari kaki responden. Penelitian menemukan ada hubungan tekanan darah dengan skor neuropati pada pasien diabetes mellitus di Rumah Sakit Surya Husadha Nusa Dua dengan nilai p-value 0,002. Setiap responden diabetes mellitus yang memiliki tekanan darah tinggi berpeluang 2,425 kali lebih besar mengalami neuropati. Diharapkan perawat perlu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan praktik dalam skrining neuropati diabetik dalam upaya pencegahan komplikasi diabetic foot ulcers.
