Abstract

Angka kematian bayi (AKB) merupakan indikator penting untuk menilai kesejahteraan dan kesehatan masyarakat, dengan bayi berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR) sebagai salah satu kontributor utama kematian neonatal. Salah satu komplikasi serius pada BBLR adalah hipotermia, yang dapat meningkatkan risiko kematian hingga lima kali lipat dalam lima hari pertama kehidupan. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) adalah metode non-farmakologis yang terbukti efektif dalam membantu termoregulasi bayi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Kangaroo Mother Care terhadap termoregulasi bayi BBLR di RSUD Bali Mandara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental dengan rancangan one-group pre-test post-test design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 bayi BBLR dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi suhu tubuh menggunakan termometer digital sebelum dan setelah dilakukan KMC, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata suhu tubuh bayi sebelum diberikan KMC adalah 36,6°C dan meningkat menjadi 36,8°C setelah intervensi. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai t = -6,965 dengan p-value = 0,001 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan Kangaroo Mother Care terhadap peningkatan suhu tubuh bayi BBLR. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa KMC efektif dalam meningkatkan termoregulasi bayi BBLR. Disarankan untuk menerapkan metode KMC secara rutin di fasilitas pelayanan neonatal sebagai bagian dari intervensi keperawatan yang mendukung stabilisasi suhu tubuh bayi.
