Abstract
Menstruation is periodic and cyclic bleeding from the uterus, accompanied by endometrial discharge or desquamation that occurs regularly every month in adult and healthy women. Menstrual cycles range from 21-35 days. One factor that can cause menstrual cycles to be disrupted is stress levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycles in female adolescents at SMA N 1 Sukawati. This study uses a cross-sectional approach with data collection using the Perceived Stress Scale (PASS-10). The sample determination used a nonprobability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The number of respondents to this investigate was 60 individuals. The results of this study indicate that the majority (73.3%) of respondents had moderate stress levels, totaling 44 people. The majority (76.7%) had an abnormal menstrual cycle, totaling 46 people. The results of data analysis using the Spearman’ rho test Sig value (2-tailed) p = 0.000, then it can be concluded that H0 is rejected.This means that there is a relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycles in female adolescents at SMA N 1 Sukawati. The researcher's advice is for young women to maintain their reproductive health and be able to carry out positive activities to reduce stress levels.
