Abstract

SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU KESEHATAN BINA USADA BALI PROGRAM STUDI SARJANA ILMU KEPERAWATAN Skripsi, Juli 2024 Ni Nyoman Ayu Sudiasih Hubungan Indeks Massa Tubuh dengan Intensitas Nyeri Lutut pada Lansia dengan Osteoarthritis di UPTD Puskesmas Manggis II xvi + 61 + 9 tabel + 6 gambar + 10 lampiran ABSTRAK Seiring dengan bertambahnya usia tubuh akan mengalami penurunan pada fungsi fisiologis sehingga dapat mendorong terjadinya penyakit degeneratif, salah satunya adalah osteoarthritis. Faktor yang turut memengaruhi kesehatan lansia adalah kebiasaan makan yang tidak sehat, gaya hidup, dan aktivitas fisik yang kurang yang mengakibatkan penimbunan lemak dalam tubuh secara berlebih sehingga dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya peningkatan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) melebihi batas normal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan indeks massa tubuh dengan intensitas nyeri lutut pada lansia dengan osteoarthritis di UPTD Puskesmas Manggis II. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode cross-sectional yang melibatkan 54 sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi Indeks Massa Tubuh dan penilaian intensitas nyeri menggunakan lembar observasi Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p value 0,000 yang berarti < 0,05 sehingga ada hubungan antara indeks massa tubuh dengan intensitas nyeri lutut pada lansia dengan osteoarthritis di UPTD Puskesmas Manggis II. Diharapkan kepada tenaga kesehatan yang terlibat dalam penanganan lansia dengan osteoarthritis disamping pemberian obat secara farmakologi juga harus memerhatikan indeks massa tubuh pasien yang turut berperan meningkatkan intensitas nyeri yang dialami. Factors that also influence the health of the elderly are unhealthy eating habits, lifestyle and lack of physical activity which results in excessive accumulation of fat in the body which can result in an increase in body mass index (BMI) beyond normal limits. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between body mass index and the intensity of knee pain in elderly people with osteoarthritis at the Manggis II Health Center UPTD. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional method involving 54 samples. The instruments used in this research were the Body Mass Index observation sheet and pain intensity assessment using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) observation sheet. The results of the study showed a p value of 0.000, which means <0.05, so there is a relationship between body mass index and the intensity of knee pain in elderly people with osteoarthritis at the Manggis II Health Center UPTD. It is hoped that health workers involved in treating elderly people with osteoarthritis, apart from administering pharmacological drugs, must also pay attention to the patient's body mass index which also plays a role in increasing the intensity of the pain experienced.
