Abstract

Stroke terjadi ketika pembuluh darah yang membawa oksigen dan nutrisi ke otak tersumbat oleh bekuan darah atau pecah, yang mengakibatkan bagian tubuh tersebut tidak dapat berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya seperti kelumpuhan dan kelemahan. Sehingga pasien stroke memerlukan rehabitasi untuk meminimalisir cacat fisik, yaitu dengan latihan range of motion (ROM) Cylindrical Grip yang harus segera dimulai pada pasien stroke dirumah sakit ketika seluruh kondisi pasien stroke mulai stabil, yaitu dimulai 48 jam hingga 24 minggu pasca stroke. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas latihan ROM cylindrical grip terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot pada pasien stroke Di Rumah Sakit Kasih Ibu Penelitian ini menggunakan desain rancangan pre-experimental dengan jenis rancangan yang digunakan adalah one-grup pretest dan posttest design dalam desain ini menggunakan observasi dilakukan dua kali sebelum dan setelah dilakukan intervensi. Jumlah sample 10 orang pasien stroke dengan kelemahan otot ekstremitas atas. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji Wilxocon untuk membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, diperoleh bahwa nilai p-value= 0.003 yang memiliki arti p<0,05. Sehingga dinyatakan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada efektivitas latihan ROM Cylindrical Grip terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot pada pasien stroke di Rumah Sakit Kasih Ibu.
