Abstract

Pneumonia merupakan penyakit yang menginfeksi parenkim paru yang menyebabkan terganggunya proses difusi di alveoli sehingga pasien berpotensi terjadi penurunan saturasi oksigen. Sebagai upaya perbaikan kondisi pasien pneumonia yang dirawat, salah satu terapi suportif yang memiliki dampak positif terhadap status pernapasan dan oksigenasi yakni chest physiotherapy dengan clapping dan vibrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh chest physiotherapy dengan clapping dan vibrasi terhadap saturasi oksigen pada pasien pneumonia di ruang ICU RSUD Bali Mandara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental dengan rancangan one group pra-post test desaign dan melibatkan sampel yang dipilih melalui teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengukuran saturasi oksigen menggunakan pulse oksimeter. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji statistik Paired T-test didapatkan rata-rata saturasi oksigen pre test adalah 91.25% dan menjadi 95.70% saat post test, p-value=0.012 (p<0,05). Dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh chest physiotherapy dengan clapping dan vibrasi terhadap saturasi oksigen pada pasien pneumonia di ruang ICU RSUD Bali Mandara. Pengembangan intervensi keperawatan mengenai chest physiotherapy dengan clapping dan vibrasi disarankan agar dilakukan dalam pelayanan keperawatan guna meningkatkan saturasi oksigen pasien pneumonia untuk mencegah penurunan fungsi paru.
