Abstract

pada kala I persalinan merupakan nyeri yang berat dengan waktu yang lebih lama. Upaya untuk menurunkan nyeri pada persalinan dapat dilakukan baik secara farmakologi maupun non farmakologi. Pengobatan non farmakologi dalam penanganan nyeri salah satunya menggunakan birthing ball. Birthing ball (bola persalinan) dapat dilakukan sebagai terapi fisik yang dapat meringankan rasa nyeri atau sakit. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan birthing ball terhadap tingkat nyeri kala I fase aktif pada ibu bersalin primigravida di RS Ari Canti. Desain penelitian ini adalah desain Quasi Experiment rancangan Non-Equivalent Control Grup Design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 ibu bersalin primigravida yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu 15 orang sebagai kelompok perlakuan dan 15 orang kelompok kontrol dengan purposive sampling. Data analisis dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Ada perbedaan penggunaan birthing ball terhadap tingkat nyeri kala I fase aktif pada ibu bersalin primigravida antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan dengan nilai p value sebesar 0,000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan birthing ball terhadap tingkat nyeri kala I fase aktif pada ibu bersalin primigravida di Rumah Sakit Ari Canti.
