Abstract
Perawatan bayi yang tidak optimal pada masa kritis maka bisa menyebabkan kematian pada bayi. Angka Kematian Neonatal (AKN) ditetapkan hingga 12 per 1000 kelahiran hidup pada tahun 2030. Pijatan memberi stimulus pada sistem di dalam tubuh, satu substansi yang mengatur fungsi fungsi seperti nafsu makan, tidur, ingatan dan belajar, pengatur temperatur, mood, perilaku, fungsi pembuluh darah, kontraksi otot, pengatur sistem endokrin dan depresi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemberian pijat bayi terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment with pre-post test with control group. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang bayi yang berusia 1 sampai 6 bulan yang terbagi menjadi 15 orang kelompok perlakuan dan 15 orang kelompok kontrol. Analisa data menggunakan man whitney. Ada perbedaan rata-rata berat badan bayi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi dengan pijat bayi, dengan p vaule 0,000, sehinga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pijat bayi efektif meningkatkan berat badan bayi di wilayah kerja UPTD.
