Abstract

Pasien setelah mengalami operasi katarak sering mengalami nyeri pada luka sayatan. Cara yang dilakukan hanya dengan pemberian terapi oral di Siloam Hospitlas Bali. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kefektifan pemberian aroma terapi lavender pasca operasi katarak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif desain preeskperimental one-group pre-post test. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 30 orang, tingkat nyerinya diukur menggunakan skala nyeri NRS (Numeric Rating Scale). Data dianalisis menggunakan Wilcoxon signed ranks test pada tingkat kemaknaan α 0,05. Ratarata intensitas nyari sebelum diberikan aroma terapi lavender sebesar 4,70 (kategori nyeri sedang), sedangkan rata-rata tingkat intensitas nyeri setelah diberikan aroma terapi lavender sebesar 2,43 (kategori nyeri ringan). Pemberian aroma terapi lavender dapat mengurangi nyeri pasca operasi katarak secara bermakna (P 0,0001 < α 0,05). Pasien pasca operasi katarak di Siloam Hospitals Bali untuk penanganan nyerinya sebaiknya diberikan aroma terapi lavender
