Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic faced by nurses as the frontline is a condition that threatens the health, welfare and ability of nurses to carry out nursing duties. During this crisis period, nurses have the potential to experience increased work stress due to a combination of physical and emotional burdens. This study aimed to identify the correlation between nursing work stress and sleep quality of nurses who caring for patients diagnosed with Covid-19 at X Denpasar Hospital. Quantitative study with cross sectional method involved 54 nurses. Data was collected using a questionnaire filled out by nurses related to stress and sleep quality. The study found that there was a correlation between nursing work stress and sleep quality of nurses who caring for patients diagnosed with Covid-19 at X Denpasar Hospital. It is expected that nurses need to improve knowledge and practice in controlling stress in order to maintain sleep quality and nursing services continue to run well.
