Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan salah satu penyakit degeneratif yaitu penyakit akibat fungsi atau struktur dari jaringan atau organ tubuh yang secara progresif menurun dari waktu ke waktu karena usia atau pilihan gaya hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan dengan jenis penelitian cross sectional. Pengambilaqn sampel menggunakan teknik nonprobality sampling yaitu accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan form Semiquntitative Food Frequency Question Aire ( Sffq). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara variabel Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji chi square bahwa didapatkan tidak ada hubungan usia dengan tingkat kepatuhan diet diabetes dengan hasil p=0,156 yang berarti p value >0,05, tidak ada hubungan jenis kelamin dengan tingkat kepatuhan diet diabetes dengan hasil p=0,910 yang berarti p value>0,05, ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan tingkat kepatuhan diet diabetes dengan hasil p=0,001 yang berarti p value <0,05, tidak ada hubungan lama sakit dengan tingkat kepatuhan diet diabetes p=0,682 yang berarti p value >0,05, ada hubungan yang sidnifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat kepatuhan diet diabetes dengan hasil p=0,002 yang bearti p value <0,05. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan untuk pengembangan ilmu keperawatan sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap kepatuhan diet pada penderita diabetes mellitus.
