Abstract

Asma adalah gangguan pada saluran bronchial dengan ciri bronkospasme periodik yang bersifat reversibel dimana terjadi peradangan saluran pernapasan atau penyempitan otot bronkial pada penderita. Hal ini berdampak pada penurunan konsentrasi oksigen dalam darah yang disebut hipoksemia. Salah satu tindakan non farmakologis yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan saturasi oksigen adalah dengan pemberian diaphragmatic breathing exercise. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian diaphragmatic breathing exercise terhadap peningkatan saturasi oksigen pada pasien asma di IGD RSU Karya Dharma Husada Singaraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pre eksperimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest and posttest design tanpa kelompok kontrol dengan penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 pasien asma yang mengalami penurunan saturasi oksigen. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Rata-rata saturasi oksigen sebelum dan sesudah pemberian diaphragmatic breathing exercise adalah (92%) dan (95,23%). Berdasarkan uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test didapatkan p(0,001) < α(0,05) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan pemberian diaphragmaticbreathingexercise terhadap peningkatan saturasi oksigen pada pasien asma Di IGD RSU Karya Dharma Husada Singaraja.Dengan demikian diharapkan agar diaphragmatic breathing exercise dapat digunakan sebagai refrensi intervensi yang bisa diberikan untuk meningkatkan saturasi oksigen pada pasien asma.
