Abstract
Gula darah puasa (GDP) pada Diabetes mellitus (DM) tipe II bisa ditanggulangi dengan OHO maupun insulin. Pengunaan insulin lebih dapat mengontrol gula darah dibanding obat oral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan GDP pasien DM tipe II yang mengunakan insulin dan tanpa insulin. Penelitiannya adalah kuantitatif observasional dengan metode komparasi. Jumlah sampel 66 orang dipilih secara random sampling dan dibagi menjadi kelompok insulin 33 orang dan kelompok OHO 33 orang. Semua data didapatkan secara sekunder dari RM (Rekam Medis) pasien dan diolah mengunakan statistic t-independen test. Rata-rata GDP pada kelompok insulin sebesar 128,20mg/dl dan pada kelompok OHO sebesar 139,96mg/dl. Beda rata-rata sebesar 11,66mg/dl, dan pada α 0,05 didapatkan p-value 0,041 < 0,05. Ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada GDP pasien DM yang mengunakan insulin dan tanpa insulin di RS X Denpasar
