Abstract
Distres merupakan faktor risiko gangguan kardiovaskular. Upaya menurunkan distres diyakini mampu mengontrol tekanan darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi tingkat distres dengan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di Rumah Sakit X Denpasar dengan jumlah sampel 38 orang yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Variabel distres dan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi diukur dalam satu waktu. Analisa data dalam peneliatian ini menggunakan uji non parametric spearman rank. Hasil peneliatian ini menunjukan nilai p-value=0,001. Nilai koefisien korelasi yang didapatkan berturut-turut yaitu 0,616 (sistolik) dan 0,581 (diastolik). Nilai tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan distres disertai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi di Rumah Sakit X Denpasar. Diharapkan perawat dapat melakukan kajian rutin terkait distres pada pasien hipertensi sehingga dapat menyusun intervensi keperawatan yang tepat.
