Abstract
SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU KEPERAWATAN BINA USADA BALI PROGRAM STUDI SARJANA KEPERAWATAN Skripsi, January 2021 Dewa Gede Agung Yoga Erlangga Relationship Workload and Work Stress of Nurses in the Emergency Department "X" Denpasar (xiii + 62 pages + 10 tables + 2 pictures + 9 attachments) ABSTRACT Work stress is one of the nurses' problems in carrying out their profession in the emergency room. One of the factors that causes stress on nurses is such as workload. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship workload and work stress on nurses in the emergency department of "X" Denpasar. This research type is an observational analysis with cross sectional design. The number of samples involved in this study were 23 people with total sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. The results showed the workload of nurses as many as 12 people (52.2%) in the moderate category, 14 people (60.9%) in the moderate category. The Spearman Rank test results obtained p value = 0.001 <α 0.05, this result shows that there is a relationship between workload and work stress on nurses. The results of this study can be concluded that workload has a significant relationship with work stress of nurses. It is suggested the need to increase the number of nurses in the ER at “X” Denpasar because there is an unbalanced ratio of nurses and patient visits.
