Abstract
muncul sebelum menstruasi akibat perubahan hormonal sehingga dapat mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari remaja putri. Salah satu upaya nonfarmakologis untuk membantu mengurangi gejala PMS adalah pemberian Dark Chocolate yang mengandung magnesium, flavonoid, dan triptofan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Dark Chocolate terhadap Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) pada remaja putri di SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Posttest Only Control Group Design dengan teknik total sampling. Sampel berjumlah 34 responden yang terdiri atas 17 kelompok perlakuan dan 17 kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Shortened Premenstrual Assessment Form (SPAF). Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann–Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Z = -5,003, p = 0,000 (p<0,05), dan effect size (r) = 0,858 yang menunjukkan kekuatan pengaruh kategori kuat. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian Dark Chocolate terhadap Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) pada remaja putri di SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar. Remaja putri disarankan memanfaatkan Dark Chocolate sebagai salah satu alternatif terapi nonfarmakologis untuk membantu mengurangi gejala PMS.
