Abstract

Nyeri pada rematoid atritis disebakan karena adanya proses inflamasi pada sendi. Pemberian boreh hangat jahe yang memiliki manfaat anti radang, penghangat, anti inflamasi dan efek analgesic sehingga dapat menurunkan nyeri pada pasien rematoid atritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian boreh dalam menurunkan nyeri rheumatoid arthritis pada lansia di Desa Kekeran. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan rancangan pre-test and post-test one group design. Jumlah sampel 29 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling . Data dikumpulkan menggunakan numerik rating scala. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian sebelum diberikan boreh hangat rerata nyeri 4,72 terjadi penurunan nyeri setelah diberikan boreh hangat dengan rerata 2,55. Analisis adanya pengaruh pemberian boreh dalam menurunkan nyeri rheumatoid arthritis pada lansia didapatkan nilai p<0,001. Terdapat pengaruh pemberian boreh dalam menurunkan nyeri rheumatoid arthritis pada lansia di Desa Kekeran. Rekomendasi penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi masukan bagi perawat agar selalu memberikan edukasi tentang boreh hangat untuk mencegah nyeri pada pasien rematoid atritis pada lansia.
