Abstract

Ulkus diabetikum merupakan salah satu komplikasi kronis diabetes melitus yang disebabkan oleh neuropati perifer dan gangguan vaskular, sehingga meningkatkan risiko infeksi, amputasi, hingga kematian. Perawatan luka menjadi aspek penting dalam proses penyembuhan, di mana metode modern dressing dengan prinsip moist wound healing dipercaya mampu mempercepat penyembuhan luka dibandingkan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perawatan luka modern dressing terhadap penyembuhan ulkus diabetikum di Ruang Poli Bedah Rumah Sakit Siloam Denpasar. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest with control group. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen pengukuran menggunakan Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan skor penyembuhan ulkus diabetikum antara kelompok yang diberikan perawatan luka modern dressing dengan kelompok yang menerima perawatan konvensional, dengan nilai p < 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perawatan luka modern dressing berpengaruh positif terhadap percepatan penyembuhan ulkus diabetikum. Intervensi ini dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam praktik keperawatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan outcome pasien dengan luka kronis.
