SEKOLAH TINGGI ILMU KESEHATAN BINA USADA BALI BACHELOR OF MIDWIFERY PROGRAM Undergraduate thesis, June 2025 Ni Luh Ade Dwijayanti The Effect of LR3 Acupressure with Cymbopogon Citratus Aromatherapy on the Dysmenorrhea Level in Female Adolescents at SMP N 2 Bebandem xvi + 61 + 6 tables + 4 schemes + 12 appendices ABSTRACT Dysmenorrhea is a natural process experienced by adolescent girls that can cause complaints such as dizziness and cold sweats. If left untreated, it will impair adolescent girls' quality of life and interfere with their ability to concentrate in class. In this study, LR3 Acupressure and Cymbopogon Citratus Aromatherapy were used as the therapeutic approach. This study aimed to determine the effect of LR3 acupressure with Cymbopogon Citratus aromatherapy on the dysmenorrhea level in female adolescents at SMP N 2 Bebandem. This study used a quasy experiment approach with a two-group pre-test post-test with control group design and a sample size of 44 respondents divided into two groups, namely the treatment group and the control group. The Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) was used to measure the degree of dysmenorrhea, and the Mann Whitney U Test was used to examine the impact of each group's intervention. According to study data, the average age of menarche for female adolescents with dysmenorrhea was 11 years old, and the average age of dysmenorrhea was 14. The degree of dysmenorrhea in female teenagers at SMP N 2 Bebandem was significantly impacted by LR3 acupressure therapy combined with Cymbopogon Citratus aromatherapy, according to the results of the Mann- Whitney U test (P-value = 0.000; Z-value = -5.213). The study's findings were anticipated to serve as a reference for instruction to create evidence-based practice, particularly about complementary therapy, which aims to lower the prevalence of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls.
