Abstract

Cesarean section delivery causes complications such as infection in the abdominal incision wound. Healing of post-operative wounds takes longer than normal delivery and, because there are incisions or incisions in the abdominal area, it will cause pain. This pain will really interfere with daily activities and also disrupt mobility. Postoperative pain management can be managed in two ways, namely non- pharmacological techniques and pharmacological techniques. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be done is guided imagery therapy. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of guided imagery therapy on pain in patients after caesarean section surgery at Bangli Medika Canti Hospital. This research uses quantitative research methods with a pre-experimental design with a total sampling design. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon rank test hypothesis test. From the results of data analysis, it was found that there was a significant influence between guided imagery therapy on pain after caesarean section surgery at Bangli Medika Canti Hospital, Bangli with a p value of 0.000 < 0.05.
