Abstract

Gaya hidup menjadi persoalan yang penting seiring dengan perkembangan zaman, karena itu dibutuhkan perhatian khusus untuk memahami fenomena bagaimana gaya hidup dilakukan terutama bagi seorang siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat dan alasan siswa kelas XII di SMK Kesehatan Bali Dewata dalam penggunaan gadget. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data triangulasi yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, jumlah partisipan sepuluh orang merupakan delapan orang siswa kelas XII dan dua orang guru di SMK Kesehatan Bali Dewata. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sangat besar pengaruh dari perkembangan teknologi informasi gadget terhadap kehidupan seorang siswa dimulai dari aktivitas sehari-hari, proses belajar mengajar, hingga gaya hidup. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah manfaat pemakaian gadget sebagai alat mengakses informasi, pembelajaran daring dan gaya hidup, sedangkan terdapat alasan-alasan penggunaan gadget yaitu memudahkan berkomunikasi, sebagai hiburan dan relaksasi, sarana dokumentasi dan transportasi. Diharapkan siswa mampu menggunakan gadget dengan bijak dan terarah, menjadikan gadget alat yang berguna dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar disekolah.
