Abstract

Penyakit hipertensi penderitanya mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Distres atau stres berlebihan merupakan salah satu kelainan emosi yang dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi tingkat distres dengan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi di klinik penyakit dalam RS Balimed Denpasar. Menggunakan jenis studi kuantitatif observasional, desain cross sectional, jumlah sampel 57 pasien hipertensi yang dipilih secara random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi spearmen rank. Secara rata-rata pasien hipertensi mempunyai tingkat distres ringan (16,51) dengan tekanan darah sistoliknya rata-rata hipertensi derajat I (145,09 mmHg) dan diastoliknya juga berada pada hipertensi derajat I (89,65 mmHg). Ada korelasi positif tingkat distres dengan tekanan darah sistolik (p 0,001 < α (0,05) dan r 0,753. tingkat distress juga berkorelasi positif dengan tekanan darah diastolik (p 0,004 < α (0,05) dan r 0,372. Disarankan pada penanganan pasien hipertensi perlu dilakukan pengkajian tingkat distres pasien sebelum pemberian obat anti hipertensi.
