Abstract

omplikasi yang terjadi pada penderita stroke salah satunya gangguan menelan. Meningkatkan kemampuan menelan pada pasien stroke dapat diberikan swallowing exercise. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian swallowing exercise terhadap status fungsi menelan pada pasien CVA Di Ruang HCU RSD Mangusada. Penelitian pre eksperimental dengan desain pre-test and post-test one group design yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2024 dengan Jumlah sampel sebanyak 23 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner The Royal Adelaide Prognostic Index for Dysphagic Stroke. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan status fungsi menelan sebelum diberikan swallowing exercise dengan mean 58,34 dan terjadi peningkatkan status fungsi menelan setelah diberikan swallowing exercise dengan mean 79,34. Analisis pengaruh pemberian swallowing exercise terhadap status fungsi menelan pada pasien CVA didapatkan nilai p value <0,001, sehingga dapat dikatakan terdapat pengaruh pemberian swallowing exercise terhadap status fungsi menelan pada pasien CVA di Ruang HCU RSD Mangusada. Rekomendasi penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi masukan bagi perawat agar menerapkan swallowing exercise pada pasien stroke sehingga meningkatkan status fungsi menelan.
