Abstract

Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh Mycrobacterium tuberculosis dan pengobatan penderita TBC butuh waktu yang lama dan harus konsisten. Keberhasilan pengobatan dan pencegahan tuberkulosis tergantung pada informasi yang diperoleh masyarakat sehingga berdampak pada tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat. Pendidikan kesehatan dengan menggunakan media booklet dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan informasi tentang TBC. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi media booklet terhadap pengetahuan keluarga tentang pencegahan TBC. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-experiment dengan rancangan pre and post-test design dengan jumlah sampel 36 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan SOP edukasi media booklet sebagai standar dalam pemberian intervensi kemudian analisis data dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon test. Hasil uji analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai (p-value) sebesar 0,001, sehingga terdapat pengaruh pemberian edukasi media booklet terhadap pengetahuan keluarga tentang pencegahan TBC. Pemberian pendidikan kesehatan dengan media booklet diharapkan konsiten dilakukan sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat
