Abstract

ABSTRAK Kolesterol Total merupakan jumlah kolesterol yang dibawa dalam semua partikel pembawa kolesterol dalam darah, meliputi HDL, LDL, VLDL yang terdistribusi ke seluruh sel tubuh terutama jaringan saraf. Kadar kolesterol total yang tinggi (hiperkolesterolemia) dapat memicu terjadinya hipertensi karena elastisitas pebuluh darah berkurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi kolesterol total terhadap pasien hipertensi di Klinik Remedium Care. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif observasional dengan desain cross�sectional. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 66 responden , teknik sampling yang digunakan nonprobability sampling dengan purposive sampling . Semua data didapatkan secara sekunder dari rekam medis (data sekunder). Data dianalisis menggunakan kolerasiproduct moment. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 33 responden (50,0%) memiliki kolesterol total tinggi, sebanyak 42 responden (63,6%) mengalami hipertensi tahap 1 berdasarkan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik. Hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kadar kolesterol total terhadap pasien hipertensi berdasarkan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik dengan nilai signifikansi p value = 0,000 dan koefisien korelasi r = 0,720 yang menunjukan ada kekuatan korelasi yang kuat dengan arah korelasi kedua variabel positif. Disarankan kepada tempat pelayanan agar memberikan informasi kepada pasien untuk memantau kadar kolesterol total dalam batas normal (< 200 mg/dl) serta mengatur gaya hidup.
