Abstract

Usia reproduksi perempuan pada umumnya adalah 15 - 49 tahun, oleh karena itu untuk mengatur jumlah kelahiran atau menjarangkan kelahiran, wanita atau pasangan ini lebih diprioritaskan untuk menggunakan alat atau cara KB. Pemakaian alat kontrasepsi suntik merupakan cara yang paling banyak digunakan oleh para ibu, namun selain manfaatnya sebagai pencegah kehamilan ada berbagai macam efek samping yang ditemukan seperti gangguan haid, sakit kepala dan permasalahan berat badan merupakan efek samping tersering. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan lama penggunaan dengan peningkatan berat badan akseptor kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Abiansemal IV. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu analitik dengan rancangan penelitian menggunakan metode pendekatan secara cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 34 responden. Uji statistik menggunakan Spearman Rank dengan hasil p-value 0,002 yang artinya ada hubungan lama penggunaan dengan peningkatan berat badan akseptor kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Abiansemal IV. Penelitian ini dapat menambah referensi tenaga kesehatan tentang kontrasepsi suntik 3 bulan serta dapat digunakan sebagai pengetahuan berupa efek samping penggunaan KB suntik 3 bulan.
