Abstract

Tuberculosis adalah penyakit yang terjadi akibatkan bakteri Mycobacterium Tuberculosis yang dapat menyerang organ tubuh seperti paru-paru. Perilaku pasien atau keluarga yang kurang memperhatikan sikap hygiene setelah kontak dengan pasien dan lingkungan penderita mengakibatkan kemungkinan terjadinya penyebaran atau perpindahan bakteri Tuberculosis dan dapat mengakibatkan penyebaran penyakit TBC. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku pencegahan penularan tuberculosis paru pada masyarakat di Wilayah UPT Puskesmas Kuta Selatan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dikaji berdasarkan teori fenomenologi guna mengetahui peristiwa atau kejadian yang terjadi pada masyarakat yang mengalami Tuberculosis, keluarga yang tinggal bersama penderita tuberculosis dengan menggunakan instrumen semi terstruktur. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan tindakan yang dilakukan oleh penderita dan keluarga ialah memodivikasi lingkungan, menggunakan masker, mencuci tangan, tindakan saat batuk, pemisahan alat makan dan minum serta kepatuhan dalam pengobatan. Saran: diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian terkait dengan dampak yang ditimbulkan dari adanya perilaku masyarakat dalam mencegah penularan penyakit tuberculosis yang dilakukan.
