Abstract

Lansia memiliki risiko tinggi untuk menderita diabetes mellitus. Penderita diabetes mellitus tidak hanya mengalami masalah fisik tetapi juga masalah psikologis salah satunya adalah stress. Stress dapat diatasi dengan memberikan terapi nonfarmakologi salah satunya terapi musik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh musik tradisional gamelan selonding Bali terhadap tingkat stress pada lansia dengan diabetes mellitus di Desa Dangin Puri Kaja, Denpasar Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pre-eksperimental one group pretestposttest design dengan jumlah sampel 44 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan lansia berumur 60-74 tahun dan menderita diabetes mellitus. Instrument yang digunakan adalah standar operasional prosedur terapi musik tradisional gamelan selonding Bali dan kuesioner perceived stress scale (PSS-10). data diuji menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test (p value <,= 0,05). Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai p value 0,001<0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh musik tradisional gamelan selonding Bali terhadap tingkat stress pada lansia dengan diabetes mellitus di Desa Dangin Puri Kaja, Denpasar Utara. Disarankan agar kedepannya pihak pelayanan kesehatan maupun masyarakat mampu menerapkan terapi musik tradisional gamelan selonding Bali dalam menurunkan tingkat stress pada penderita diabetes mellitus.
