Abstract

Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) merupakan infeksi di lingkungan rumah sakit yang dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor salah satunya adalah kurangnya kepatuhan hand hygiene oleh petugas kesehatan bahkan keluarga atau pengunjung pasien. Kurangnya kepatuhan dalam pelaksanaan hand hygiene erat kaitannya dengan pengetahuan terkait hand hygiene itu sendiri sehingga pemberian edukasi dengan media leaflet diyakini dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian edukasi melalui media leaflet terhadap kepatuhan hand hygiene keluarga pasien di Ruang ICU RSD Mangusada Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre experiment dengan one group pretest and posttest design yang melibatkan 47 sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan di analisis menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian edukasi melalui media leaflet terhadap kepatuhan hand hygiene keluarga pasien di Ruang ICU RSD Mangusada (p-value=0,000). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelyanan kesehatan dengan mencegah terjadinya HAIS yaitu melalui penerapan edukasi kepada seluruh pengunjung pasien.
