Abstract

Latar belakang dan tujuan : Periode kehamilan dan melahirkan merupakan periode kehidupan yang penuh dengan potensi stres. Seorang wanita dalam periode kehamilan dan periode postpartum cenderung mengalami stres yang cukup besar karena keterbatasan kondisi fisik yang membuatnya harus membatasi aktivitas dan mengalami proses adaptasi menjadi seorang ibu. Periode ini memiliki potensi terjadinya postpartum depression. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan postpartum depression pada ibu yang melahirkan secara normal dan ibu yang melahirkan melalui tindakan Sectio Caesarea. Metode : Subjek penelitian adalah 30 orang ibu yang melahirkan dan mengalami postpartum depresi di RSIA Pucuk Permata Hati. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). Data dianalisa dengan statistical product and service solution (SPSS) menggunakan metode chi square test. Hasil : Prevalensi kejadian postpartum depression di RSIA Pucuk Permata Hati menggunakan skoring EPDS sebagian besar responden yang mengalami postpartum depression sebanyak 26 orang (72,2 %) melalui persalinan secara sectio caesarea dan sebanyak 4 orang (16,7 %) melalui persalinan normal. Simpulan : Nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh 0,000 sehingga p value < 0,05. Hal ini menyatakan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara proses persalinan terhadap risiko terjadinya postpartum depression di RSIA Pucuk Permata Hati. Nilai OR didapatkan 13 yang menunjukkan responden yang melakukan persalinan sectio caesarea berpeluang 13 kali mengalami depresi
