Abstract
A neonates transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life, they live with limitations due to the maturation of organ functions, which take place over a period of time. The main cause of neonatal mortality was Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW). Babies with less than normal weight will tend to experience hypothermia, where hypothermia can trigger a decrease in oxygen saturation, this can also be a risk factor for the baby's death. The prone positioning and kangaroo mother care interventions are options to minimize the negative effects. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of prone positioning together with kangaroo mother care on the oxygen saturation of premature babies in the NICU room of Mangusada Hospital. This study is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. During this study, 40 respondents were divided into two groups by purposive sampling In the Independent t-Test test, Sig = 0.001 which means p <0.05, which means Ho is rejected. There is an effect of the combination of prone positioning and kangaroo mother care on the oxygen saturation of premature babies. In order to improve the quality of neonatal care, nurses are expected to use prone positioning and kangaroo mother care on a frequent basis.
