Abstract

asien asma mengalami gangguan suplai oksigen akibat penurunan ventilasi paru yang dapat dilihat melalui penurunan saturasi oksigen dengan oksimetri nadi. Tindakan yang dilakukan perawat dalam mencegah penurunan saturasi oksigen adalah mengatur posisi seperti orthopneic dan semi fowler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian posisi orthopneic terhadap saturasi oksigen pasien asma. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasy Experiment dengan rancangan Non Equivalent control group design. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 responden yaitu 15 orang termasuk kelompok intervensi yang diberikan posisi orthopneic dan 15 orang termasuk kelompok control yang diberikan posisi semi fowler dipilih dengan teknik sampel purposive sampling dan menggunakan pulse oxsimetry sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata saturasi oksigen pada kelompok control yaitu semi fowler pre test adalah 82,53 dan kelompok interventi yaitu orthopneic adalah 82,33. Sedangkan Rerata saturasi oksigen kelompok kontrol post test adalah 93,93 dan kelompok intervensi adalah 97,20. Terdapat pengaruh posisi orthopneic terhadap saturasi oksigen pada pasien asma . Posisi orthopneic lebih efektif terhadap peningkatan saturasi oksigen pasien asma yang diberikan dengan nilai p value = 0,011 < 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai pilihan posisi bagi perawat dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien asma.
