Abstract

Rabies adalah penyakit tropis yang disebabkan oleh virus, zoonosis, dan terabaikan yang menyebabkan puluhan ribu kematian setiap tahunnya. Masyarakat yang mengalami risiko infeksi rabies penting untuk mengetahui sikap pencegahan rabies yang baik, agar terhindar dari dampak buruk terinfeksi penyakit rabies. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan sikap pencegahan rabies pada pasien risiko infeksi rabies di klinik asta medical center. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional menggunakan 32 responden. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap pencegahan rabies. Hasil jawaban responden dianalisis menggunakan program aplikasi analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan sikap pencegahan rabies diperoleh nilai p=0,000 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti adanya hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan sikap pencegahan rabies pada pasien risiko infeksi rabies. Nilai Correlation Coefficient yaitu 0,879 yang menunjukkan bahwa kedua variable berhubungan kuat antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan sikap. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik tingkat pengetahuan maka semakin baik sikap terhadap pencegahan rabies. Saran bagi responden agar tetap mempertahankan sikap pencegahan rabies yang baik saat berisiko ataupun tidak berisiko terinfeksi rabies.
