Abstract
Tindakan apendiktomi merupakan tindakan pembedahan umum yang dilakukan pada kondisi apendisitis yang dapat menyebabkan munculnya ketidaknyamanan bagi pasien berupa kondisi nyeri dan gangguan pola tidur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian back massage terhadap intensitas nyeri dan pola tidur pasien post operasi apendiktomi di RSD Mangusada Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Pre Experiment dengan one group pretest and posttest design yang melibatkan 20 sampel dipilih melalui teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa standar operasional prosedur back massage, lembar observasi Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) dan kuesioner Insomnia Rating Scale dengan analisis data menggunakan analisis uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa back massage berpengaruh terhadap intensitas nyeri (p-value=0,001) dan pola tidur (p-value=0,000) pasien post operasi apendiktomi di RSD Mangusada Kabupaten Badung. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kepada pasien post operasi yang mengalami nyeri dan gangguan pola tidur dengan mengaplikasikan pemberian back massage.
